A few words from the Chef as to why we are called The Mariner’s Galley.
For those of you who do not know me, My name is Glenn Hoddy. My passion for food started back in High School and the Home Economics class. I wanted to pursue my culinary experience in a different way which lead me to join the Royal Navy and then the Merchant Navy as a Chef for over 19 years. During my service I have been lucky enough to work alongside serving personal from around the globe. This included cooking BBQs on the beaches of Diego Garcia alongside USA troops to learning cooking cultures in Penang by being invited into family homes. My Love for cooking in the Galley’s of the ships I have served on and my understanding of flavours has always stayed with me. So The Mariners Galley was born.
